Any person who, without first having procured a license under Article 4 of this chapter, directly or indirectly holds or conducts any meeting where there is horse racing and betting on its results by the parimutuel method of wagering, or otherwise, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

Notes

Prohibits any person from directly or indirectly holding or conducting a meeting involving horse racing and betting on race results, by parimutuel wagering or otherwise, without first obtaining the required license under the specified article. Makes conducting such an unlicensed racing-and-betting meeting a misdemeanor, without stating a separate fine, jail term, or exception here.
