California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 8 — Special Business Regulations, Chapter 5.5 — Franchise Relations, Article 6 — Remedies, Section 20037

Except as expressly provided herein, nothing in this article shall abrogate the right of a franchisee to sue under any other law.

Notes

Allows a franchisee to retain the right to sue under any other law except where the article expressly provides otherwise. The rule preserves that right against abrogation by the article generally and recognizes only exceptions expressly stated within the article, without identifying a separate category of franchisee to whom the preserved right applies.
