This chapter applies with respect to equipment sold or in use on or after January 1, 2025.

Sets this chapter to apply to covered equipment that is sold or in use on or after January 1, 2025. Equipment outside that date-based condition is not brought within the chapter by this provision, which supplies the operative applicability date rather than a separate compliance deadline.
