California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 7 — General Business Regulations, Part 3 — Representations to the Public, Chapter 1 — Advertising, Article 7 — Environmental Representations, Section 17581

Any violation of this article is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six months, or by a fine not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), or by both.

Notes

Sets misdemeanor penalties for violating the article at imprisonment in county jail for no more than six months, a fine of no more than $2,500, or both imprisonment and the fine. The punishment applies to any violation of the article without stating a different penalty for particular violations.
