Any retailer who fails to display a license as required in Section 22972 shall, in addition to any other applicable penalty, be liable for a penalty of five hundred dollars ($500).

Notes

Sets a $500 penalty for any retailer that fails to display a license as required by the referenced licensing requirement. The $500 amount applies in addition to any other applicable penalty, so payment of this penalty does not replace or eliminate other penalties that may independently apply to the retailer’s failure to display the license.
