Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 23958, the department is not required to investigate the personal qualifications of a licensed beer and wine wholesaler who applies for additional beer and wine wholesaler licenses.

Exempts a licensed beer and wine wholesaler applying for additional beer and wine wholesaler licenses from the department’s otherwise applicable requirement to investigate the applicant’s personal qualifications. The exemption applies only to an already licensed beer and wine wholesaler seeking additional licenses of that same wholesaler type.
