California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 3.5 — Landscape Architecture, Article 3 — Application of Chapter, Section 5641.3
An architect, professional engineer, or land surveyor licensed or registered under the statutes of this state, insofar as the licensed or registered professional practices the profession for which they are licensed or registered, is exempt from this chapter, except that an architect, professional engineer, or land surveyor shall not use the title “landscape architect” unless they hold a license as required under this chapter.
Notes
Exempts a California-licensed or registered architect, professional engineer, or land surveyor from the landscape-architecture chapter while practicing the profession for which that person is licensed or registered. Prohibits those professionals from using the title “landscape architect” unless they also hold the landscape-architecture license required by the chapter.
