California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 9 — Contractors, Article 2 — Application of Chapter, Section 7028.6
The Registrar of Contractors is hereby empowered to issue citations containing orders of abatement and civil penalties against persons acting in the capacity of or engaging in the business of a contractor within this state without having a license in good standing to so act or engage.
Notes
Allows the Registrar of Contractors to issue citations against persons acting as or engaging in the business of a contractor in California without a contractor license in good standing. Allows those citations to contain both orders requiring abatement of the unlicensed activity and civil penalties imposed against the cited person.
