No person shall engage within this state in the activities of an alarm company operator as defined in Section 7590.2, unless the person holds a valid alarm company operator’s license or is exempt from the provisions of this chapter.

Notes

Prohibits any person from engaging in California in activities that meet the statutory definition of an alarm company operator unless the person holds a valid alarm company operator license or is exempt from the chapter. The licensing requirement therefore applies only to nonexempt persons performing those defined activities.
