California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 4 — Real Estate, Part 2 — Regulation of Transactions, Chapter 1 — Subdivided Lands, Article 3 — Sales Contracts, Section 11200
Every sales contract relating to the purchase of real property in a subdivision as defined in this chapter shall clearly set forth the legal description of the property, of the encumbrances outstanding at the date of the sales contract, and the terms of the contract.
Notes
Requires every sales contract for purchase of real property in a subdivision governed by the chapter to clearly state the property’s legal description, all encumbrances outstanding on the contract date, and the contract’s terms. The provision mandates disclosure of those three categories within the sales contract itself and states no exception within its text.
