Any weighing, measuring, or counting instrument or device, as defined in Section 12500, which is used by a weighmaster and for which specifications and tolerances have been adopted by the secretary, shall be approved, tested, and sealed in accordance with this division.

Requires any weighing, measuring, or counting instrument or device used by a weighmaster, when specifications and tolerances for that device have been adopted by the secretary, to be approved, tested, and sealed in accordance with the applicable division. The provision imposes these requirements only on devices meeting those stated conditions.
