California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 6 — Business Rights, Chapter 3 — Trade Names and Designations, Article 1.5 — Trade Name Registration, Section 14414

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to require or prohibit the filing in any county of any fictitious business name statement if such filing is not required or prohibited by Section 17910.

Notes

Limits the chapter so it neither requires nor prohibits filing a fictitious business name statement in a county when the separately referenced provision does not require or prohibit that filing. The provision therefore leaves the filing obligation or prohibition to the rule stated in that referenced law rather than creating one here.
