California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 9 — Alcoholic Beverages, Chapter 5 — Restrictions on Issuance of Licenses, Article 2 — Limitation on Number of Licensed Premises, Section 23819
Nothing in this article authorizes the cancellation of any license which may be outstanding in any county in excess of the number authorized by the ratio established in this article, nor shall anything in this article require the issuance of any license in any county because the number of the licenses does not equal the authorized ratio.
Notes
Bars the article from authorizing cancellation of any existing license merely because a county has more licenses than the article ratio permits. Also bars construing the article to require issuance of licenses merely because a county has fewer licenses than the authorized ratio.
