The right to vote or hold office may not be conditioned by a property qualification.
Notes
Prohibits conditioning a person’s right to vote or hold public office on ownership of property or any other property qualification. Eligibility for either electoral participation or officeholding therefore may not depend on satisfying a property-based requirement imposed as a condition of that right.
