When the sheriff is a party to an action or proceeding, the process and orders therein, which it would otherwise be the duty of the sheriff to execute, shall be executed by the coroner of the county.

Notes

Requires the county coroner to execute process and orders in an action or proceeding when the sheriff is a party and would otherwise be responsible for execution. The coroner substitutes for the sheriff only in that circumstance and performs the execution duties that would otherwise belong to the sheriff.
