Except for Sections 684.130 and 684.140, the provisions of Article 1 (commencing with Section 684.010) and Article 2 (commencing with Section 684.110) do not apply to service under Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 706.010) of Division 2 (wage garnishment).

Notes

Exempts wage-garnishment service under Chapter 5 of Division 2 from the service provisions in Articles 1 and 2, except that Sections 684.130 and 684.140 continue to apply. The exclusion is broad for wage-garnishment service but expressly preserves those two specified service provisions.
