In any case in which service or exhibition of a receiver’s or levying officer’s deed is required, in lieu thereof service of a copy or copies of the deed may be made as provided in Section 1162.

Allows service of a copy or copies of a receiver’s or levying officer’s deed, using the service method provided in the referenced provision, instead of serving or exhibiting the original deed when service or exhibition is otherwise required. The substitution applies specifically to those receiver’s or levying officer’s deeds.
