California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 14 — Of Miscellaneous Provisions, Chapter 7 — General Provisions, Section 1047

Successive actions may be maintained upon the same contract or transaction, whenever, after the former action, a new cause of action arises therefrom.

Notes

Allows successive actions based on the same contract or transaction when, after the earlier action, a new cause of action arises from that contract or transaction. The provision permits a later suit because of the newly arisen cause and does not state a separate deadline, monetary threshold, party limitation, or other exception.
