California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 8 — Of the Trial and Judgment in Civil Actions, Chapter 1 — Judgment in General, Section 577.5

In any judgment, or execution upon such judgment, the amount shall be computed and stated in dollars and cents, rejecting fractions.

Notes

Requires the amount in any judgment, and in any execution issued on that judgment, to be computed and stated in dollars and cents, with fractions rejected. Both the judgment amount and the execution amount therefore must be expressed to the cent rather than retaining a fractional amount beyond cents.
