California Codes, Code of Civil Procedure - CCP, Part 2 — Of Civil Actions, Title 10.5 — Partition of Real and Personal Property, Chapter 10 — Partition of Real Property Act, Section 874.311
(a) This act shall be known, and may be cited, as the Partition of Real Property Act.
(b) This act applies to real property held in tenancy in common where there is no agreement in a record binding all the cotenants which governs the partition of the property.
(c) This act applies to actions for partition of real property filed on or after January 1, 2023.

Establishes the Partition of Real Property Act for real property held in tenancy in common when no record agreement binding all cotenants governs partition. Applies the act only to partition actions involving such property that are filed on or after January 1, 2023.
