A depositary for hire must use at least ordinary care for the preservation of the thing deposited.
Notes
Requires a depositary who holds property for hire to use at least ordinary care to preserve the deposited item. The provision sets ordinary care as the minimum preservation standard for a compensated depositary and applies while that depositary is responsible for safeguarding the thing placed in deposit.
