California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 1.6D — Electronic Commerce, Article 1 — General Provisions, Section 1789.6

Nothing in this title shall be construed to limit the liability of a provider of service to a consumer for errors or omissions arising from the operation of an electronic commercial service.

Notes

Limits the Electronic Commerce Act so it does not reduce a service provider’s liability to a consumer for errors or omissions arising from operation of an electronic commercial service. Preserves that liability despite the title, preventing the title itself from being construed as a limitation on claims based on those service errors or omissions.
