California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 1.4 — Layaway Practices, Section 1749.4

Nothing in this title shall be construed to limit or reduce any legal obligations imposed under Title 2 (commencing with Section 1801) of Part 4 of Division 3 or under any other applicable law.

Notes

Bars any construction of the title that would limit or reduce legal obligations imposed under the referenced part governing other transactions or under any other applicable law. The provision preserves those independent legal obligations and prevents the title from being used to diminish them.
