California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 2.9 — Creditor Remedies: Disability Insurance, Section 1812.408

Any waiver by the debtor of the provisions of this title shall be void and unenforceable.

Notes

Bars a debtor from making an enforceable waiver of the title's provisions by declaring any such waiver void and unenforceable. Establishes that a debtor's purported waiver has no enforceable effect under the provision because the text expressly makes the waiver both void and unenforceable.
