California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 4 — Loan, Chapter 8 — Reverse Mortgages, Section 1923.7

No arrangement, transfer, or lien subject to this chapter shall be invalidated solely because of the failure of a lender to comply with any provision of this chapter. However, nothing in this section shall preclude the application of any other existing civil remedies provided by law.

Notes

Prohibits invalidating an arrangement, transfer, or lien governed by the chapter solely because the lender failed to comply with a provision of the chapter. Allows other existing civil remedies provided by law to remain applicable despite that protection against invalidation.
