California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 4 — General Provisions, Part 1 — Relief, Title 3 — Specific and Preventive Relief, Chapter 3 — Preventive Relief, Section 3420

Preventive relief is granted by injunction, provisional or final.

Notes

Establishes injunction as the means by which preventive relief is granted, and allows that injunction to be provisional or final. The provision therefore recognizes both provisional injunctions and final injunctions as forms through which preventive relief may be given, with either form serving as the stated vehicle for that relief.
