California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 4 — General Provisions, Part 4 — Maxims of Jurisprudence, Section 3516

Acquiescence in error takes away the right of objecting to it.

Notes

Bars a person who has acquiesced in an error from later objecting to that error. The provision makes acquiescence itself the basis for loss of the right to object, expressing the rule that acceptance of the error prevents a later challenge to the same error by the acquiescing person.
