A mere agent of an agent is not responsible as such to the principal of the latter.

Establishes that a person who is merely the agent of another agent is not, solely in that capacity, responsible to the latter agent's principal. Limits direct responsibility under this rule by distinguishing the second-level agent's relationship from the relationship between the original agent and principal.
