California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 6 — Service, Chapter 3 — Service Without Employment, Article 2 — Duty to Prospective Purchaser of Real Property, Section 2079.22

Nothing in this article precludes a seller’s agent from also being a buyer’s agent. If a seller or buyer in a transaction chooses to not be represented by an agent, that does not, of itself, make that agent a dual agent.

Notes

Allows a seller’s agent also to act as a buyer’s agent; the article does not preclude that dual role. Establishes that a seller’s or buyer’s choice to proceed without agent representation does not, by itself, make the other party’s agent a dual agent.
