California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 14 — Lien, Chapter 4 — Hospital Liens, Section 3045.6

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any claim or cause of action against a common carrier subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission or the Interstate Commerce Commission.

Notes

Exempts claims or causes of action against a common carrier subject to the jurisdiction of the California Public Utilities Commission or the Interstate Commerce Commission from the hospital-lien chapter. The chapter’s lien and related enforcement provisions therefore do not apply to claims against carriers falling within either stated regulatory jurisdiction.
