California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 11.3 — Private Investigators, Article 8 — Review, Section 7573.5
Notwithstanding any other law, the powers and duties of the bureau, as set forth in this chapter, shall be subject to review by the appropriate policy committees of the Legislature. The review shall be performed as if this chapter were scheduled to be repealed as of January 1, 2029.

Requires the bureau’s powers and duties under the chapter to be reviewed by the appropriate legislative policy committees, notwithstanding any other law. The committees must conduct that review as though the chapter were scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2029.
