The director may, in accordance with the State Civil Service Act and subject to the provisions of Section 159.5, appoint and fix the compensation of inspectors, investigators, and other personnel as may be necessary for the enforcement of this chapter.
Notes
Allows the director, consistent with the State Civil Service Act and subject to the referenced provision, to appoint inspectors, investigators, and other personnel needed to enforce the chapter and to set their compensation. The appointment and compensation authority is limited to personnel necessary for chapter enforcement.
