California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 3 — Professions and Vocations Generally, Chapter 11.5 — Private Security Services, Article 5 — Firearms and Baton Training Facilities, Section 7585.13
All baton course material provided to the certificate holder in the “Baton Training Manual” issued by the bureau shall be covered in each class session. In no event shall the class instruction for the course required for baton certification total less than eight hours.

Requires every baton-certification class session to cover all course material given to the certificate holder in the bureau-issued Baton Training Manual. The total class instruction for the baton course required for certification may never be less than eight hours, establishing an eight-hour minimum regardless of how the instruction is scheduled.
