California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 1 — Department of Consumer Affairs, Chapter 6 — Public Members, Section 450.6
Notwithstanding any other section of law, a public member may be appointed without regard to age so long as the public member has reached the age of majority prior to appointment.
Notes
Allows appointment of a public board member without regard to age, notwithstanding other law, provided the person has reached the age of majority before appointment. The provision removes any other age-based appointment restriction for public members only after the prospective appointee has attained legal majority.
