California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 8 — Special Business RegulationsChapter 19.5 — Immigration ConsultantsSection 22448

Any civil action to enforce any cause of action pursuant to this chapter shall be commenced within four years after the cause of action has accrued. The cause of action is not to be deemed to have accrued until the discovery, by the aggrieved party, of the facts constituting the violation.

Notes

Requires any civil action enforcing a cause of action under the chapter to begin within four years after the cause of action accrues. Defines accrual for this limitation period as occurring only when the aggrieved party discovers the facts constituting the violation, so the four-year period runs from that discovery-based accrual point.
