Protection of the public shall be the highest priority for the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers in exercising its licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions. Whenever the protection of the public is inconsistent with other interests sought to be promoted, the protection of the public shall be paramount.

Notes

Establishes protection of the public as the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers’ highest priority when carrying out licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions. If protecting the public conflicts with other interests the bureau is asked to promote, the provision requires public protection to take precedence over those competing interests.
