California CodesBusiness and Professions Code - BPCDivision 4 — Real EstatePart 2 — Regulation of TransactionsChapter 1 — Subdivided LandsArticle 1 — General ProvisionsSection 11008

No provision of this part which makes a violation of this part a crime shall be construed to preclude application of any other criminal provision of the law of this state to an act or omission which constitutes a violation of this part.

Notes

Establishes that criminal provisions elsewhere in California law may still apply to an act or omission that violates this part, even when this part itself makes that violation a crime. The provision prevents the part’s criminal rules from being construed as exclusive and preserves application of other state criminal statutes to the same underlying conduct.
