California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 2 — Healing Arts, Chapter 5.4 — Prescription Lenses and Ophthalmic and Optometric Assistants, Section 2541.6

No prescription ophthalmic device that does not meet the standards adopted by the State Department of Public Health, the California State Board of Optometry, the Medical Board of California, or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California under Section 2541.3 shall be purchased with state funds.

Notes

Prohibits use of state funds to purchase any prescription ophthalmic device that fails to meet standards adopted under the referenced provision by the State Department of Public Health, California State Board of Optometry, Medical Board of California, or Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
