California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 2 — Healing Arts, Chapter 5.3 — Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers, Article 1 — General Provisions, Section 2530.4
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as authorizing a speech-language pathologist or audiologist to practice medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing, except that authorized by Section 2530.2.
Notes
Limits the chapter so it does not authorize a speech-language pathologist or audiologist to practice medicine, surgery, or another form of healing beyond what the referenced provision authorizes. The restriction applies to both professions and confines any healing authority under the chapter to the authority expressly provided by that referenced provision.
