Any act required by law to be performed on a particular day or within a specified period of time may be performed (but is not hereby required to be performed) on a special holiday as that term is used in Section 6705 of the Government Code, with like effect as if performed on a day which is not a holiday.

Notes

Allows a legally required act due on a particular day or within a specified period to be performed on a special holiday, with the same effect as performance on a nonholiday. The provision expressly permits but does not require performance on that special holiday and uses the referenced Government Code meaning of the term.
