One who willfully deceives another with intent to induce him to alter his position to his injury or risk, is liable for any damage which he thereby suffers.
Notes
Establishes liability for a person who willfully deceives another with intent to cause that person to change position to the person’s injury or risk. The deceiver is responsible for the damages the deceived person suffers because of the intentional deception and resulting detrimental change of position.
