California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 2.5 — Contracts for Health Studio Services, Section 1812.92

Any contract for health studio services entered into in reliance upon any willful and false, fraudulent, or misleading information, representation, notice or advertisement of the seller shall be void and unenforceable.

Notes

Establishes a health-studio-services contract as void and unenforceable when the buyer entered it in reliance on the seller’s willful false, fraudulent, or misleading information, representation, notice, or advertisement. The invalidity depends on both the seller’s qualifying misconduct and the buyer’s reliance on that misconduct when entering the contract.
