California Codes, Civil Code - CIV, Division 3 — Obligations, Part 4 — Obligations Arising from Particular Transactions, Title 2.5 — Contracts for Health Studio Services, Section 1812.93

Any waiver of the buyer of the provisions of this title shall be deemed contrary to public policy and shall be void and unenforceable.

Notes

Bars a buyer from waiving provisions of the title by declaring any such waiver contrary to public policy, void, and unenforceable. The rule prevents the buyer and seller from using a waiver to eliminate or reduce the title’s requirements or protections, because the attempted waiver has no enforceable legal effect.
