(a) The healing arts boards within Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) may employ individuals, other than peace officers, to perform investigative services.
(b) The healing arts boards within Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) may employ individuals to serve as experts.
Notes
Allows healing-arts boards to employ individuals who are not peace officers to perform investigative services. Also allows those boards to employ individuals to serve as experts, giving the boards separate authority to staff investigations and obtain specialized expertise without requiring those expert employees to perform peace-officer functions.
