The director, in accordance with the State Civil Service Act, may appoint and fix the compensation of such clerical or other personnel as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. All such personnel shall perform their respective duties under the supervision and the direction of the director.

Notes

Allows the Director of Consumer Affairs, under the State Civil Service Act, to appoint and set compensation for clerical and other personnel needed to carry out the chapter. Requires all such personnel to perform their duties under the director’s supervision and direction, rather than independently of department management.
