No public member shall either at the time of their appointment or during their tenure in office have any financial interest in any organization subject to regulation by the board, commission, or committee of which they are a member.

Notes

Prohibits a public member, both when appointed and throughout the member’s tenure, from having any financial interest in an organization regulated by the board, commission, or committee on which the member serves. The restriction applies continuously from appointment through service and states no monetary threshold or ownership-percentage exception.
