This article does not apply to a physician and surgeon working in a hospital emergency room.

Notes

Exempts a physician and surgeon working in a hospital emergency room from the requirements of the article. The exclusion is categorical as written for that practitioner while working in that setting and states no deadline, monetary threshold, reporting condition, or additional qualification for the exemption.
