Except as provided by Section 159.5, the board may employ whatever personnel is necessary for the administration of this chapter.

Notes

Allows the board to employ personnel it considers necessary to administer the chapter, subject to the exception incorporated by the referenced provision. The authority gives the board staffing discretion for chapter administration and permits it to determine the personnel needed to perform those administrative functions within the stated statutory limitation.
