A person engages in the practice of clinical social work when he or she performs or offers to perform or holds himself or herself out as able to perform this service for remuneration in any form, including donations.

Defines the practice of clinical social work to occur when a person performs, offers to perform, or represents that the person can perform clinical social work services for remuneration in any form. The definition expressly includes donations as remuneration, so compensated performance, offers, and representations of ability each fall within the described practice.
