California Codes, Business and Professions Code - BPC, Division 2 — Healing Arts, Chapter 16 — Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors, Article 6 — Revenue, Section 4999.108

A suspended license is subject to expiration and shall be renewed as provided in this article, but that renewal does not entitle the licensee, while it remains suspended and until it is reinstated, to engage in the activity to which the license relates, or in any other activity or conduct in violation of the order or judgment by which it was suspended.

Notes

Limits the effect of renewing a suspended license: the license remains subject to expiration and must be renewed as otherwise required, but renewal does not authorize the licensee to resume the licensed activity while suspension continues. The licensee also may not engage in conduct prohibited by the suspension order or judgment until reinstatement.
